Regarding WebCore, I've been looking into porting WebKit starting with JavaScriptCore. So far I got pcre/, kjs/ and kxmlcore/ compile on GNUstep, but failed with bindings/ due to a bug(?) in GCC (v4.2 with ObjC++ support) WRT ObjC++ files in bindings/objc/.
